Steve teaches ya how to replace your panhard rod bushed in his KE Feb 25, I just used the car jack and the cross member (and one of its holes) with the panhard/bush in between to push the old ones out. Then i used the jack and chassy rail with panhard and new bushes in between to push them in!!! It took me an hour and a half and 2 beers to do!! Hardest part was removing the ceased bolts to get the panhard rod out!!Estimated Reading Time: 6 mins. Aug 06, Remove both nuts/bolts and the rod will come away.

The chassis will move slightly to the drivers side as you do this. Note the kink on the rod - this has to go at the diff end. A 21/22mm socket is the right size to use to press the old bush out. If you don't have a hydraulic press, then either use a big vice or get a local garage to replace the bushes.

Re: Panhard Rod Bushings - Replacing??? posted by someone claiming to be Ron Lynes on Tue Mar 27 [ RELATED ] I don't have any experience in replacing these but since you have different opinions from 2 different mechanics it might be worthwhile getting them to.

May 31, jiggas. 2, 3. Post. Jun 03, #6. T The panhard rod centralises the diff under the vehicle (left to right). If you have the weight off the wheels the diff will move a little. Do 1887 Wilmington MA with the wheels on the ground.

it should pop out now worries and then go back in the same spot. Apr 18, I have just received a pair of bushes for the front rod off the shop. I have pressed the old rubber ones out on my MM press no bother. As these new ones look.
